my trans is slipping and was wondering what would be an apropriate replacement or a place on the island to get it done. all suggestions are welcome. thanks.

Oh my goodness...... another trans going. Is it the weather we have here?:D It depends on what you plan on doing with your car. Will it be seeing alot of track time? How much HP and what ET's are you looking for and plan on putting through it?

its going to be in the middle mostly street but i plan to run it once in awhile i dont know if you know the guy but supa dave is the guy i bought the car off. its an 87 gn with 42.5 injectores and i beleive a te-44 turbo? theres alot of work done but more to be done. so im not sure of what everything is yet this is my first project car and i want to do it right.

Yes, I know the car. I didn't know Dave a nd Jasmine were thinking of selling though. John and I did some tweaking on it.
If you're going to do mostly street driving with some track time, I'd go with just a regular rebuild with a hardened stator. I guess it depends on how deep your pockets are. Do some searching in the trans section, there's a kaka load of info there.

Good luck with your new project:)

Also don't forget a good TC. Most guys run Bruce's 9/11 and love it.

I got my trans rebuilt at Hopaka. His name is Paul. Excellent work no problems for many many years. And also all the parts internally is all Art-Carr. You can also check out Pearl Harbor/Waipahu trans I heard that's pretty good and its the same owner as HRP.

Hey Paul, I may need your expertise soon on the tear down of my BRF. I'm going to order my rebuild kit from Bruce soon. :D

We'll see if mine works first!!!!:D No time this week with my son's grad party. Hope to get it running by next Wed.
