I am installing a B&M Pro Stick and I am trying to find out 1) what colors are the wires for the neutral safety switch and the backup lights 2) where are these things located?

Thanks!

they are at top side of steering column down by the floor plugged into a curved white switch that wraps around the top ,
but if you didnt disconnect the linkage from the trans to the column there is no need to mess with those wires as they will still function

I just installed a B&M pro-ratchet in my car. Took some time, but well worth it. If you cant use the stock shift cable with your b&m shifter, take the B&M selector bracket and install it onto the trans. Make the proper adjustment to the cable so the shifter works perfect in all gears. Remove it, cut the ear off the stock shift selector bracket that holds the cable eye, place it back on the tranny, install the b&m selector bracket after with the bolt, tighten the bolt in place, keeping tension on the b&m bracket lined up to were it is suppose to be. Either mark it, or a ever so slight tack weld with a mig welder to hold it in its proper place, remove it, weld it all around. Paint it, reinstall it back on the car.You will have to trim off some of the cable rod end on the b&m cable, but then your done, and it works perfect, and all is functional. Ive read that some guys will install the b&m bracket, then the stock bracket, and weld without cutting the stock bracket, but for 2 reasons, 1- the b&m bracket does not fit snug on the trans selector shaft as the stock one does, and has little movement back and forth. So I didnt want to worry about movement later after use, and screwing up shifting. 2- The thickness of the stock bracket brings out the the b&m cable lining up, and moving easier. Hope this helps. Good luck.
