Just got the LM-1 and looking for suggestions on where to mount the control unit. The obvious place is to the right of the dash, above the radio.

Any other ideas?

thats were i have mine they do make a winshield type mount thats looks like it would work . Full throttle speed has them

I just routed the wires to the glove box and placed the unit in there since its so big I didn't want that cluttering up the dash. The wires are long enough that I can just pull it out and sit it on the passenger side seat when needed. I never look at mine, just record and playback thru the laptop after each pass.
I ran the O2 sensor wire up thru the transmission linkage gromet under the center console since the firewall gromet was already stuffed with things...didn't see that big O2 wire fitting in there also.
I have the AuxBox LMA3 too to record fuel pressure and boost on the LM-1.
Mounted the LMA3 on the flat area behind the console 2-gauge pod holder under the radio in the console area.

I did'nt want mine cluttering my dash. So, I just tuck it between the pass seat and console. Put it on the seat or floor when I'm by myself or tuck it away with passengers.

2quik6,
What are tapping off of for fuel pressure? I'm sure it's 5v right? I'm thinking about getting the rpm converter cable. Really would like to get the Aux Box for boost logging. Just can't afford it.

I have an Autometer electric fp guage that I tapped into the signal and ground wires on, yes 0-5v.
Found all the info I needed to hook it up here

If you decide to get the Auxbox, you do not need the RPM convertor, its built into the auxbox LMA3. It's a really cool setup I think.
