Where to plug for power w/ScanMaster

Where did you guys tap into for powering the ScanMaster? I know some went with an adapter for plugging into the cig. lighter, but I was looking for where to go in the fusebox. I have it plugged into the bottom left IGN open hole and it shuts the ScanMaster down when I turn my lights on? There was another IGN above that which now powers my gauges and works with the lights on, but not sure if I should tap this into that some one or not.

You can get a good connector at NAPA that plugs into the IGN terminal on GM cars that has a pigtail wire you can attach to the scanmaster wire either by soldering or a butt splice or a wirenut.

There are 3 IGN terminals in the fuse box I belive.

All should work with the keyswitch and have nothing to do with the light switch.

For some dumb reason this IGN port does shut the ScanMaster down. The other one works fine powering my gauges.
