im trying to figure out what converter is the best out please vote on which converter u like. also if other please tell which one. if you like tell me your experience with your converts. thanks

hey

i see that precision is wining but i thought noone liked them anymore due the the rattle it has and the problem it has taking out thrust bearings. what gives?

I think I'm going with Edge. Not too cheap, not too expensive. 100% guaranteed. Call them. They seem very honest and helpful. I haven't heard anything bad from anyone yet. If you know anyone that has had problems, I'd like to hear them.

I like my Vigilante 5 disk..... only complaint is the infamous rattle... at idle.. in park or neutral.... quiets up considerably in gear....

Pat's Converter

Talk to Steve at Pat's Converters. He knows his stuff and is very nice to talk to. I run a 3500 l/u from him and I am very pleased. If money was not important I probably would have bought an Art Carr just because I think he offers the best one. I have been to his place in CA and seen the product being assembled.

ok

ok so if money was not factor which converter. think im going the PTS 9/11.

Bruce gave me one of his trying to be nice to me :p accually went into Melissa's new set up ... one word "AWESOME"!!! damm does it pull!!! 27 mph from the 1/8th on !! Ok Bruce Ill let ya know for the other one on my Stage2 TTA

Edge and West Coast are one in the same..
i dont think so...
I know Bill at westcoast converters and he has never said anything about Edge

Go to their individual web pages and check their addresses out.. Im not meaning anything wrong by it.. They just appear to be marketing and selling under both..

West Coast
Address:
480 E. Easy Street, Unit 1
Simi Valley, CA 93065

EDGE
Address:
480 E. Easy St.
Unit 1
Simi Valley, CA 93065

Ok. :)

It probably is the strongest lockup for racing however.

Assuming you were gonna lock it up if/when racing.

whoa.. thats wierd.. im gonna have to ask about this

No need to ask... here is more proof ;) http://www.missiontrans.com/store/home.php

Someone in another post said they use FWD 3.8 parts in their converters which makes em more efficient in coupling? Can one of the big trans guys confirm or deny this? I think thats pretty neat but wonder about strenght and power limits.

They have a buy it now on EBAY for 485.00 custom made shipped...Thats a good deal !
