I'm replacing my trans cooler lines and need to know if the upper line at the trans connects to the upper connection at the radiator. Answer that, and I'll be able to figure out where the lower line goes.

Thanks,
Terry

No, the TOP port at tranny goes to BOTTOM port at radiator.

I believe that (not 100% sure):

Radiator TOP line - hot fluid from trans, to cooler.
Radiator BOTTOM line - cooled fluid back to trans.

thanks tom h...anyone else to confirm. Of course I want to be 100% sure.

Thanks,
Terry

I am 100% sure the TOP port at tranny connects to BOTTOM port at radiator -- I've traced it several times by touch on my '87.

It's which of the 2 tubes is intended to be the "hotter" and "cooler" that I'm not 100% sure of ...

Unless you're intending to insert a temperature probe in the hot fluid tube exiting the tranny, I don't see how it would otherwise matter which tube is which.
