Is this the white lithium grease I am seeing or is the intake or front cover maybe leaking?

Could be 2 things:

-How long was the motor sitting before you installing and the environment that it was in. If your garage is cold and your car/motor was in there, when you started the car it generated heat which generates condensation. Which is perfectly normal.

-The other thing that could be wrong is a coolant leak. An intake or headgasket that did not seal properly.

Is the white grease noticable after you run the car or should the heat turn it the same color as the oil.

The white froth you are observing is water/condensation mixed with oil.

Yes, its called an emulsion. Probably an internal coolant leak. Be sure to figure out its cause and correct it. Sometimes a retorque on the heads will fix it if you are running copper head gaskets. You can pressurize the the cooling system with shop air and look for leakdown.

Did you use any silicone on the intake gasket? Especially if it's a OEM metal valley pan gasket around the water ports. If not, the gasket could be allowing coolant to leak into the lifter valley which would create the frothing you are seeing. Seen it happen many times. Or did you use other non metal/paper type gaskets?
Just a thought or 2.

Those sheetmetal gaskets are practically useless. The decks, the mating surface of the heads and the mating surface of the intake manifold, would all have to be perfectly square and straight for them to even work. Unless the block, heads and intake are blueprinted, they're not going to seal all that great.
