I'm building a new short for my GN - 109 block with girdle, Cat 3.625,k-1 rods, etc. Who would you use for machine work that knows these Buicks? I'm on Long Island. I'm not sure I trust the locals anymore! I would like someone who does alot of Buicks. Thanx Charlie

I got mine done at Lawrence racing engines out in westhampton beach. Jeff is verry good but keep on him and keep givin him $ or he'll be slow!!! But dont push em too fast because the job your asking requires ALOT of machining test fitting and measuring. like they say theres 3 types of jobs, Good Fast and Cheep . You can have two but never all three. Good and cheep but its not gona be fast. Or good and fast but its not gonna be cheep!! 631-288-4575 for him. Ask for Jeff also tell him Tyler with the Buick told you to call. He's also got a GN of his own. Then theres Merkel i think its spelled off of sunrise. Never used him but ive herd he is also very good. He is select about what he works on so make sure he has the machines to machine the caps, pan rail and front case. Also dont forget to tell the machine shop what kind of bearing clearences your looking for on the mains, and rods. I would give Jeff a call first off. Hope this helps. Tyler. Gimme a call if you want im out in Port Jefferson 516-356-6238.

This is exactly what I needed to know.
I was thinking of using Colvin’s.
The prices are great but I don’t know of any Buicks that he has done.
I did see a set of heads getting some porting done. But that’s it.

Bob at RPE. 860-953-1342. He has done a few of these for me and they all kicked a$$. I wouldnt even consider using someone who hasnt done a lot of these. There are too many details that need to be adressed.
