I would like to get a wide band o2 setup. How was the placement of the sensor thought out in terms of location (which angle on the pipe relative to the unit circle & how far down the pipe some distance before /after the turbo) & what correlating data/comparator was used to support a specific location? Thanks

Suggest you do a search on the various Buick boards. This subject has been hashed and re-hashed many, many times. You will find alot of opinions.....;)

The general concensus is to put it in the downpipe. My opinion is that is does not matter. We have had it in stock locations in MANY different cars, and not a single bad unit.

Personally I would like to hear from anyone that has had a wide band sensor go bad from high temp or pressure. Getting it wet and corroding does not count!

mine's in the down pipe, after the bend.

Email me if you want a peek

Mines near the accumulator in the downpipe, almost vertically mounted.

Was in the stock location when using the ME chip with no problems.

Wish it recorded since I never look at it under WOT only at idle. :D

DIY kit.
