I want to know if this is normal - the more my rpm climbs the richer the wideband # gets and the leaner the egt # gets? For ex: When I floor the car and lets say it is in first gear when the rpm hits about 4000 rpm and the boost reaches it's highest point which is 26.7 lbs the wideband reads 12.4 and the egt is at about 1400. When the rpm reaches 5400 rpm at 24.5 lbs boost the wideband reads 11.4 and the egt is 1704.
I have another question which I am wondering about. I inject the car with 95% ethanol and 5% water and I read once in a magazine that ethanol affects the wideband reading. For ex: If the wideband is reading 12.2 that means the actual wideband reading is about 11.5. Is this true?

Thanks for any replies, Marco.

this may not apply to you but i know if you run TOO rich the unburnt fuel will pass into exhaust and burn causing EGTs to rise....

and i dont understand your other question... if the WB is reading one number than that is ACTUALLY what your WB is reading... now if you are wondering if the WB is reading XX.XX is my actual AFR XX:X then i think you may be moving the numbers the wrong way.... ex. GAS has AFR of 14.7:1 and METH has 6.4:1 AFR if you mix them, the stoich. AFR should be in between those numbers. Say you are shooting for 12.5:1 AFR gas and then you add METH injection to the equation... I think most people tune to safe 10.5:1 or 11:1 ratio.... but this is from the top of my head... somebody else will chime in. Hope this at least clears it up a little

11.0 to 1 is what I need with meth and 93 oct.
If I try and go 11.5 I get a little knock. The Idea, get it as lean as you can without knock.

Timing will effect the egt's also. Not just richer or leaner. Less timing usually =higher egt's with no other change. Also beware as the oxygen sensor gets really hot it may read leaner than actual.
