I just bought a '87 Turbo T, the seller stated it has "green stripe" injectors, stock turbo, upgraded fuel pump, hooker super comp headers, dut neck intercooler and 9 in K and N filter. I have a set of 8 red tops that were originally slated to be used in an LS1 buildup, but if I can use these in my Buick I'd rather use what I already have. I plan on going with a TA-49 or GT-32 turbo, also would like opinions as to which chip to go with. I have been spoiled by using LS1Edit so I'm not used to tuning by ordering chips. I also have a few LS1 MAFs, would I gain anything from installing one with a translator? I'm a newbie to the turbo cars so any/all advice is appreciated. The most I've done on these cars is timing chains, exhaust manifolds and powermaster repairs so far...

Thanks,
Artie

I think those are the ones ATR used tosell. Theyre only 29.5 or 30#. Not worth the swap IMHO.

There were two kinds of "green stripe" injectors. One was nearly a stock replacement @ 30 lbs. The other is more commonly called "009" and is 42.5 lbs. There should be someone on the board that can help you identify your injectors. Good Luck. Scott

also, id get rid of those hooker headers and put some stockers back on....theyre probably slowing you down

That is one of the things on my "to do" list....I got a good deal on the car so some work is well worth it. I don't think the headers will do me any good even on a modded motor, just have to wait a few weeks to put together the cash for my "mod plan":D
