Is this stock MAF on it's way out? 6-8@ idle and 170-190@ full throttle, no codes.

I have had some WOT issues (stumbling) I found a bad coil pack and replaced it. Still had some issues and found my stock turbo inlet hose was toast. Thanks Eric. Replaced it with a Big mouth Kit today. (Great Product btw, shameless plug SP1) All WOT issues gone, however I am still seeing these MAF#'s 6-8 @ idle and 170-190 @ full throttle which I have heard are low at WOT. The O2's are coming in at 770-810 but sometimes extremely low, knock under 3 if any, and I am using a Turbotweak chip. Dailey around town driving is great and I am very satisfied with the TT chip (SP2) compared to the older Thrasher that came with the Buick.

1987 Turbo T 123K miles, Scanmaster, TE-44, 14lbs of boost, stock inj, BM Air Kit, unknown after market fuel pump, Hot wire kit, FP 42 idle 58lbs WOT, adj reg, & dual exh w/bullet mufflers.

Thanks ALL

MAF @ WOT should be 255 and not move very much, some chips lock it on 255 even. Have you checked everything else, iac, tps?

6-8 at idle is fine MAF readings, mine were low (3-4) and I couldn't figure out the problem till I checked MAF.

Yes all other values are good as far as using the Scanmaster go. I am not doing repeated full throttle runs per value but they all seem to check out good over the past 3 days when I look at them overall. I will be using a Turbo Link next week when a fellow Turbo owner has some free time for real time values across the board.
Thanks All...

I can't remeber, but I dont' think 14# of boost (from your signature0 is going to max the MAF at 255 - especially at altitude. I think I was putting closer to 20# through the stock turbo to max it at 255.

Good point, I didn't see the 14lb, it might not max it out.
I think mine went to 19lb to max it out at 255 if I remember. Havn't done that recently :P

I am learning new things about these great cars weekly. So the lower boost level with the high altitude effects the MAF WOT numbers... this what I am understanding. So I may not see 255 unless I increase boost or the computer feels the car needs more? That helps alot as I was thinking something might be off.

Thanks for the input/info from both members XLR8 AND 77TECH9

what if the 255 is reached at low boost is that good ?
boost set at 15 psi but the MAF reading is peeked at 255 at 10 psi

runs great though I still learnig what most of the numbers the scanmaster displays

Yes that is good. But with gn-1s and a 63 turbo, you are moving a lot more air at the same amount of boost than a stock head/turbo motor.
