the 63 will take you to 133+mph with the correct combo and some boost. The 6776 has been 139 and the 66 S tnetics will go over 140
Has anyone done that with the 63? I used 3700lbs and 133mph and got close to the max hp figure posted by Precision for that turbo. If someone has, how much boost and other details of the combo?
I have gone 126 at 3700lbs with a 63 on a stock longblock. I do not think the turbo was maxed out yet. But I never pushed it any further since I already pushed it pretty far.![]()
I've been considering the 66S.
We've butted heads...but I'm glad to see you've added your expertise to this thread. Thanks Bison.![]()
expound? The compressor is not the limitation in the 3 bolt configuation.
Whats the best way to record back pressure?
i noticed a huge difference between the p/65 wheel and the s/q wheel.leaving the potential power aside you must have a right converter with the s/trim.the s/trim 9 times out of 10 runs the .85 presicion ex housing, while if your alittle tight on the converter with the p/trim you can run the smaller ex housing t/netics .63.presicion .63 etc.both t/netics and presicion don't recommend the .63 housings on the s/q trim wheels.
Damn! Thats impressive! Did the turbo have a garrett housing or precision? .63 or larger?
If its a journal you will need something that goes to 3800 at zero boost/vacuum. A commercially available 10.5" will not couple an S trim under anywhere near its power potentialbison i will take your word for it on the ptc spooling up the s-trim .85.i know my 10.5 lock up 3200 doesn't even come close to spooling it but i am going to try the 9.5.i had no problems with the p-trim,lightning fast with the .63 ex housing, still quick with the .82,but the s-trim seems to be a hole different animal.
