Are there any fast VWs on the street?
Actually all the VR6 motors have 24v's these days, in the early 90's they had 12v's...but they have had 24 since 97 I believe. The R32 is a 3.2 liter version of the VR6(same as in the toureg), where the GTI/337 gets the 2.8 liter version. There are fast Street driven VW's out there, most...- 87regal

Opinions on car for a kid?
I say a VW For 3K you can get him a nice clean example of any MK2 golf or jetta....or also a fox, great milage, run forever (almost impossible to kill an 8v) ANd they can be modded to run decent without being rice.....more of a euro dish :D- 87regal

I dont think so...I would guess you would need to have it restalled to maybe 3200 or so. That should work out just fine then, lag should be minimal at a 3200 stall, ;) LOL- 87regal

G-TECH Pro's CHEAP!!! $36 ON EBAY!!!
I bought one about a month ago from him....I recieved it exactly 43 hours after he recieved my paypal payment. HE is legit, the G/tech is new, and seems to be very consistant with itself. My only complaint is I paid $48 for mine, lol I didnt know the price would drop to $36- 87regal

daily driver
If you dont NEED awd or 4wd look at on older VW, A2 (85-92) jetta/golf or maybe an A1 rabbit or Fox They can be had CHEAP and seem to be very reliable, I have almost 200,000 on my fox, doesnt burn a drop of oil, and no sign of smoke on start up. If the old 1.8 has oil, it will just keep on...- 87regal

What goes thru you head when you see a guy Driving...
I agree IF he is driving a new bug....but not when driving all VW's, some are nice and are no way only "chick" cars. They may not be fast in a straight line but I would like to find ONE buick on here that can keep up with me through the twisties in this: 2250# 81 hp 102 ft tq...- 87regal

11 hours for me and the GF to our lay over...another 3+ tomorrow to actually get home. Had a great time at the event, I didnt meet many people, was busy taking pics and watching the races. I have 200+ pics or so I will try to have up by weeks end. I did see a few faces I regonized, BFH...- 87regal
