i was wondering..i have a buddy whose fixing to build 4.1 gas motor and wondering why you cant run the stock pistons of the 4.1 or ones from a 3.8 in the 4.1 block. why do you have to buy the expensive replacements to make the motor work..thanks

ok heres my prob..i bought a set of adj control arms, upper and lower from a friend off a tr...the prob is i took my stock lowers off to compare them to the adj units.with the lowers adjusted all the way in are still about an inch longer than the stockers.... give or take a little...is that ok...
