    Heat Shields

Does anyone know of a supplier for the exhaust manifold heat shields? I have a 1987 Regal T and the shields have rusted somewhat and are rattling. Really annoying to say the least. I've been all over the net and can't find a thing on them. Lots of turbo shields though. Hope someone can help out.

    Gas Tank Insulators

I am installing a new gas tank and one of the insulators has a taper along its length about 14" to 18" long and is a firmer material. Does anyone know which side of the tank it gets installed on? Does it matter? I also can't figure out why.

    Vacuum Line Help

I have some questions that I hope someone out there can answer. The vacuum line to the canister (under the air filter) is in the wrong place at the firewall (I think). I made a diagram below and it is red. Should I remove it from the T in my diagram and re-connect it to the proper metal pipe...

    What is this???

I just came across what looks like a hydraulic pipe and don't know what it is for or why it's not connected. Does anyone know what it is for and where it goes? It's located below the AC compressor and runs across the cross-member with 2 other pipes, one being the front right brake line. Can I...

Rad Hose Support, where does it attach?

Can anyone tell me how this support is installed? I left it on the upper rad hose when I took it off the intake manifold. Now I can't figure out how it goes back on. I am putting things back together and this one escapes me.

    What connector is this?

Does anyone know what this is or where this goes? I don't remember taking this off. It may have been disconnected when moving around the wiring harness to get at the exhaust header bolts. I have no idea where it goes. It looks like there is a plunger in it and it may have broken off rather than...

    valve compression weired!!!

Anybody ever see this? I'm replacing my valve springs. I filled the cylinder to 100 - 115 lbs air pressure. Used a modified spring compressor. The spring dampers are a PITA big time. When I compress the spring on the #1 exhaust valve, the spring, retainer, keepers, and valve stem all move but...

    intake manifold stud?

Does anyone know what the stud marked 16 in the diagram below should be torqued to. There is a 10mm hex on the stud and then a 15mm nut to hold the coil module bracket. The torque values for the stud and the nut should be different. I had a huge problem trying to un-seize the 15mm nut. A lot of...

    Anyone know what these are??

I found these parts in the trunk of an 87 turbo T I just got. The intercooler is there for perspective to give an idea of size.

    Gas Tank strap bolts

I am trying to remove the gas tank to inspect it and front strap bolts seem to be seized in the cage nut. I don't want to force it and I have soaked it with penetrating oil. Any advice to getting the bolt out without wrecking the cage nut would be appreciated.

    Waste Gate ???

I have a module (wastegate module maybe???) on the passenger side valve cover with a missing hose. pic attached. The hose that is attached goes to a Y with one leg that goes to the output side of the turbo and the other to what I think controls the wastegate. I am not sure if the module is...

    Stud for intercooler bracket

I just found that the stud that holds the intercooler bracket to the engine block is stripped. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement. GM dealer exploded view of the intercooler assembly doesn't show it and the engine block exploded view doesn't either. This is the stock bracket.
