For those of you in the Mid 8's 8.4 - 8.6 in the 1/8th what are your trap speeds. After 22 years I put DR's on my car and took it to the track. It's a Stock unopened 100K motor, stock turbo and injectors, ATR downpipe and Pit Bull exhaust system.

1.8 60 FT's on drag radials. Seems I can't hold more than 5 PSI boost on the line without it pushing through the lights.

My best runs have been a 8.64 but the MPH is low compared to our Local LS1 and Mooswang crowd. I'm running 77-78 while LS1 car's running the same times are in the from 82-86.

it'll be different i guess based on weight & power.
mine was a 3600-3700lb car runnin 8.1-8.4 around 81 to 84mph at 20-21psi of boost. equating to about mid to upper 12s in the 1/4 @ 101-103 mph.

yours probably was around upper 79s to low 80s as well.

I Said It Before AND SOME People Got Upset Buicks Are Quicker Than They Are Fast With Mostly Stock Stuff I Can See Mid 8's At 78 Or 79 Mph Buick's Make A Lot Of Torque Thats Why They Are Quicker Than They Are Fast And It Dont Help That They Are Shaped Like A Brick Either Ls1 Cars Make Alot Of Hp And Are Aerodynamic.but Look At Like This WAY Ive Had All Kinds Of Cars 03 Cobras Zo6s Ls1 Cars The Buick Gets My Choice For Bang For The Buck Very Easy Cars To Make Go Fast And When You Start Running 86 Mph You'll Be Hard In The 7's...automatics And Turbo's God Love Them....

What chip? I ran 8.40's with the stock chip with the mph in the high 70's. 85mph with Reds 93 chip and 7.9 with a 1.75 60ft.

Run 100% line pressure to the rear brakes. By pass the stock proportioning valve and install an adjuastable proportioning valve. This allowed me to build unbelievable amounts of boost on the starting line.

Doesnt seem safe if you get on the brakes at all, the rear would want to come around. I have been wondering though if there is a way to have 100% line pressure going to the rear brakes then after the launch be able to switch it back to normal. Like a proportioning valve that has two setting you can switch back and forth to from inside the car.

diggin through some older slips:
8.3998@80.94
8.5971@80.94
8.6939@78.13
8.2779@83.06
8.5733@79.88
8.0503@90.03
7.8582@89.09
8.1069@90.73

Looking at these, I see the trap speed varies. My guess would be anywhere between high 70's to low-mid 80's for mph
mine were all low 1.8 60's with the exception of one 1.77

That looks cool, it would work nice setup to activate with a button you have to hold down like a transbrake. That way when you launch you let go of the button and your brakes are back to normal. Seems a little pricey for what it is though.

I didnt see a price in the post. How much do they run?

OK, That's what I figured. Most of the local cars are LS1's and their too afraid of breaking a rearend to really launch hard on drag radials.

My last outting:

8.35@91.18 w/ 2.0 60ft
8.49@91.22 w/ 2.19 60ft

Stock gear as far as I know with 275/50/15 Nitto DRs. Why does my MPH appear abnormally high for the ET?

I actually prefer the brake bias adjusted this way. It maybe because I run narrow tires up front and 275's out back on the street.

I could see that...I had a buddy back in the day that had a 5.0 mustang that ran skinnies up front. The only problem is that he had completely removed his rear brakes  Kind of a poor mans line lock/weight savings thing, didnt stop for Sh!t though lol.

8.6 @83 on a 1.99 60 foot on the way to a 13.5 @104

regular street tires and crippled with front wheel drive but still as mentioned Buicks out in front early most of the time , that pass is linked below in my sig ;)

60ft 1.33
1/8 5.59
MPH 128
18 PSI

383 stroker 8:1 CR
Twin 60MM Garret's
90MM throttle body

Yeah I know but, it's still a Grand National:redface:
