Very nice example of a Grand National. Quality repaint about 4 years ago. I 2-toned it because that was what I wanted in order to stand out from the crowd. I had the pin stripe done at the Turkey Rod Run in 2014. Paint is very nice. Could use a re-buff but it is more than good enough for a daily driver/weekend cruiser. I blacked out all the chrome pieces on the car and removed the fender trim. I have them but never reinstalled as I liked the look without them. Car shows 54k miles on the odometer. Being a 5 digit I will not say it is accurate.
When I purchased the car it was smoking. I yanked the heads off and had them redone and at the same time put a new Precision turbo on. The turbo is similar to the old TE-44 but I dont know the actual nubmers. The cylinders looked great and cross hatch was still very visible so I buttoned it back up using GM headgaskets and new bolts. The car has hooker header aftermarket manifolds and downpipe so no worrying about the cast stock junkers cracking. I drove the car for about a year as a daily after the paint. In that time I put new tires and brakes on it but nothing else.
The interior is very clean, dash isnt cracked and I replaced the seat covers with quality repro covers. I pulled all the trim out and resprayed it to freshen up the interior. The radio is an updated cd player from a newer tahoe. I replaced the rear sway bar with a hotchkis and have lowering springs for the front if you want them for a few dollars more.
The car isnt a race car by any means but it shifts strong, launches hard and will put a smile on your face everytime you drive it.
