Guys,

Back in Feburary I Bought the New Twin Turbo 3.0 AWD MKZ ...and right out of the Box at Cecil County it ran a 13.0(See Pics below)
THen I downloaded a Tune 12.50's, and then an Upgraded Front Mount Intercooler, 12.38...Sound Familiar? Plus with AWD No More Dirty Wheelwells or Burnouts, Drive around the water and GO!! :)

Close, but Not Quite, First Off the 3.0 is ONLY in the Lincoln, and is a Beefed-Up Version of the 2.7 Motor that ford uses in the F150 and Fusion Sport. Second the Unlike the SHO/Tarus Platform this has a Front Mounted Intercooler, that can be Upgraded
and Gave me 25+ HP (with Much more available as HP Goes up)Third with what I've got (Mild Tune, Front Mount) PLUS the Addition of Downpipes, which I DONT Have yet, several Folks have been in the High 11's at 114+ mph....Forth Lincolns PTU (Power Transfer Unit) and Trans is Beefed up for the 3.0 Motor...
...as Time goes by and more of these Lincolns find their way into Enthusiasts hands we'll see them going Faster and Faster...Just like the BUICKS!!!

It's nice having something like this to drive around in for the comfort, but comparing it to the GN/T is not quite the same. In the 80's, the performance cars were 15 second cars. The Regals did the same or better. Yes with mods they easily did 13, 12, and 11's. The difference is today the same Camaro, Mustang and Corvette are doing 11's, sometimes 10's from the dealer. So running mid 12's is not quite as impressive. Either way it's better to have a 87 Regal and a 17 Lincoln than a 87 Lincoln right.

The Difference Also is that this Isn't a Mustang, Camaro, or Challenger....Just like the Regal wasn't back in the Day....
