3 bar map sensor

When would I need a 3 bar map sensor? And what do these cars come with stock?

how much boost can a 2 bar see.

bar=14.7 PSI

Two bar reads one bar in vacuum, one bar in boost. 3 bar reads one bar vacuum, 2 bars boost.

On the GN its used for the boost guage on the dash only. Not tied into the computer/engine management.

Now aftermarket computer and speed density conversions will utilize the 3 bar.

They read the same. I am not an expert-Razor on the Akly board is. The 3 bar map sends a signal to the Alky controller as to boost at all levels. The Alky controller reads the boost level for turn on point and alcohol flow. Brad
