I don't know specific years on most things GN/T-Type, but I saw this on an '87 today at a show... I thought they were all hydraulic-actuated boosters (as opposed to electric).

I did some searching but couldn't really find much on the factory schematic for the booster (maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?) My thought is retrofitting it to a Malibu and using this instead of the pump-driven hydroboost for a cleaner look.

Have there ever been any major problems with this setup compared to mechanical hydroboost?

Nope, all you have to do is search "Powermaster" it's the stock setup and I'd never recommend someone swap it into a car that has a hydroboost setup.

Sounds good. The car is a standard vacuum-assisted system right now, but down the road I'd like to upgrade the rear to discs, ultimately going for a pro-touring theme on the car
