96 Monte Carlo tranny problem

hey guys, since you are fellow mechanics on our buick's, maybe some of you could clue me in on a problem on the daily driver

i drove the car from st louis to phoenix last week, and a couple days after i wa sdriving it on the interstate, and the transmission started dropping from overdrive to drive, and now it won't go into drive at all

i know the tranny is electronically controlled

i unhooked the battery cables to try resetting the computer

any suggestions?

My 98 Olds Intrigue had this problem....it ended up being the torque converter clutch circuit .....
