(87 GN) So I just noticed a knocking noise when I lightly rev the engine. When I pull off cylinder 6's plug wire the noise goes away. I am guessing it's a rod bearing since removing the plug wire gets rid of the strain on the rod. What do you guys think?

i dont usually pull plug wires but instead pull the injector connector to drop a cylinder
just pullng the #6 plug wire could also affect the #3 cylinder but running it more to test wont make it better and could end up doing more damage to the crank whick could render it unusable , best is drop pan and inspect but the end result will usually be pulling the engine anyway so prep for that

Ended up being #6 rod bearing as I thought. Crank is coming out to get turned. Was hopping the crank would have been fine but it is slightly rough.
