adjustable oil press reg & how do you know which oil pump spring to use?

1. Does anyone use TA Performance's adjustable oil pressure regulator? Any comments positive or negative?


2. How do you know which oil pressure spring to use? I am running .002 rod/main bearing clearance and have a high volume front cover with PTE's turbo saver. Any suggestions?

Hi,
The high volume cover uses deeper gears? I don't know, personally, but what does the installation sheet say? I would be leery of too much pressure, so pick the weakest one. Stock Buicks do fine with 35psi at 2000 rpm. Good luck with your choice.

The yellow spring is recommended in the booster plate kit.

Not sure about the adjustable kit however.

use the yellow spring, the one above that one is too strong and the one below is too weak.
