Alky problem

5v should be acquired from a known good source like the TPS. If you lose that signal at least you will get a tps code and have a little safeguard. The wiring that is used for the MAP signal to the alky controller needs to be dedicated and should never be tapped into or spliced into. Any breakage in connection or malfunctioning signal at that circuit and your engine will be damaged if you run it hard. Properly crimped weatherpack connectors with breakouts are the only acceptable connection on an important signal wire like this!

Im still getting 5v at the tps..no codes showing..and the green wire is connected a foot or 2 before the map sensor..thats all done correctly and heat shrunk wrap..not getting a reading before that either

But does the map get the 5v also? did you have to "tap in or splice" or did you use the jumper kit from the tps?

Yea map get 5v...just not the 1.6v that the green wire should get with key on but engine off

Then the map sensor is failed.

Map sensor arrived today in the mail..hooked it up..got my 1.6V on the green wire..everything works..it was the map,sensor...back in business
