i dont see why it wouldnt work as a pre-spooler. your injecting it into the engine anyway, so why not inject onto the blades? if you focused the spray at the smallest part of the compressor housing, tangent to the blades, it would create quite a bit of rotational flow. a good way to experiment would be with a shot or sacraficial compressor housing. take a whole turbo to a bench and try different mounting points. if you could get some decent spool with just the propane, it would be very beneficial.

OK, take a turbo and an airhose with a blower on it and see how fast you can get it to spin. I would guess 5,000 rpm in about 10 seconds would pretty much be the limit. Now think about how much propane it would take to do the same thing and see if it is worth it. Since my air hose and my propane bottle are both at 125psi it is a pretty good test to show it would'nt work very good.
