Hi Buick Enthusiasts from B.C., Alta., Pacific U.S. Northwest,

I have a date for the All GM Picnic in July 2009. This event is organized by the B.C. Oldsmobile Club. This event will be the first of its' kind to be held on the Mainland. This show will replace their annual BOPC event. Last year, we had 15 Buicks out! For more info and pictures of 2008's show, check out the V8Buick.com forum's " Buick Gathering at BOPC, Langley, B.C.." The first post on this show appeared May 15, 2008. You can use this link to view a few photos, thanks to Randy:

Like last year, the show will be held at Campbell Valley Regional Park in Langley. The car entrance fee will be $5.00. It will be held on Sunday, July 5th.
We had a great time last year, and the weather was absolutely beautiful. The park is a fine family-oriented location, as I'm not too fond of the ol' mall parking lot shows.
As I get more details of the Picnic, I will post the info and reminder on the forum.

Take care,

Nando.

Hi all,

I'm providing a link for directions to the park:

Campbell Valley Regional Park

Today, I spoke to Shaun M., of the Grand National Racing Association, regarding contacting the club's members of this upcoming event. Hopefully, he can send an e-mail to the members, fairly shortly.
Yesterday, a few GNRA members attended the Napa Auto Parts Show & Shine in Langley. Couple of the gems, which showed up, included a GNX (previously from Alberta), and a 6,000 mile 1987 GN hardtop. Correct me if I'm wrong, (Wayne M.), the car was purchased in California, and had been owned by a Hartline Performance employee.

how far from lake stevens wa.? or how far from the boarder of lynden

Hi maitai1993,

I quickly checked the Washington State map:

From Lynden travel north on Guide Meridian Rd.(539) for about 5 miles to the border.
Once in Canada, take Hwy 13 north for about 1.5 miles to 16 Ave.
Head west on 16 Ave. for about 6 miles to 200th Street.
Then head south on 200th Street for about 1 mile to 8th Ave..
Turn into the Park, while heading east on 8th Ave.

Double check on the internet.

Hope this helps, and hope you can make it out.

I may have to go visit the in-laws in Coquitlam that weekend...
Hi Mark,

That's a perfectly legitimate excuse to make the trip. Do they share your interest in this hobby? They, certainly, can come to the Picnic. Lots of nostalgic vehicles.

Nando.

No, they don't share any interst--but my brother-in- laws have motorcycles so they would probably come to look as well. Sorry to say I'd have to come and look--my tranny is currently out for repairs

Hi Mark,

Hey, nothing wrong with coming out to take a look. Still would be nice to meet you and the family. It's a low-key affair, and in a nice setting.

Take care.

Nando.

I'll try to work it in my schedule... I'll look you up if I go.
Hi Mark,

If you do plan to come, I can PM you my cell phone #. For this event, I'll probably be driving my 1971 GS-455. I took my '86 GN to last year's Picnic. You can see photos of my GN in the link I provided in the first post of this thread. It has the personalized plate reading "STAGED", and is parked next to my old car with the GSX ornamentation package.

Hi all,

Happy Independence Day to all our American friends and their families!
Seems we'll have a good turn-out for tomorrow's Picnic. Weather is fantastic. I plan to be there at about 11:00 a.m. with my 1971 GS-455. Should be fun. Don't forget to bring some refreshments. Gotta hydrate!
See you at the Park.

I'll be there!

Hi Mike,

Sounds like there may be a good representation of GN and Regal T-Types at the Picnic. Can't wait to take a look at your extremely low mileage GN. Brought my 1986 GN to last year's event, so I decided to drive my GS to this year's show. I hope to bring my GN by to an upcoming GNRA club meeting, or to the next Buick gathering.

Nando.

I may be coming by myself-- daughter's working on berry picker today- but would like to meet a few other GN owners. :)

Hi all,

Thought I'd post a few pictures of the recent All GM Picnic held on July 5th at Campbell Valley Regional Park in south Langley. These pictures were taken by Johnny L., who attended the show this year in his gorgeous 1964 Skylark. Johnny travelled from Whistler to be at the show, probably the longest distance driven amongst the show entrants.
I will post more pictures later, with an account of how the day went.

Take care,

Nando.
