Basics to tuning?

I'm buying a car in December and I wanna be able to do my own tuning so I don't have to load up and to the dyno 3 hours away when I change something.

Is there any pointers I can get? Just wanting a jump start on other things before it happens so I know what's going on.

Having someone that knows what they are doing will be a big help.not trying to offend you but getting into trouble is easy to do and can get frustrating.getting a good chip and working with the chipmaker is a good way to get the ball rolling after you have the car.several on here can help and the doing some research on the site will benefit your long term experience.

Keep is simple. Don't do a bunch of mods. Do one at a time. Do the spring cleaning. Find a local guru that's willing to help you out.
