Looking for recommendations on a small portable battery charger, for between rounds and at home. Also if any are North American made? Thanks in advance

Here's what I'm using Kevin.....works great!......can't say enough about it

I'm using the Optimate 6 Desulfating Charger / Maintainer.

X2. Hands down one of the best purchases I have ever made. I have saved many batteries for friends with it and my GN stays plugged in always and my battery feels like new every time I start the car.

Another Battery Tender Plus user. Have 4 of them actually for various vehicles. Had one fail, just wouldn't do anything when plugged in. They warrantied it with no hassles, sent me their new upgraded model as a replacement.

Schumacher WM-1562A Float Charger. It holds my battery up and floats so it doesn't overcharge. Works great and was around $30 I think from Walmart years ago.

Thanks for the input. I have a battery tender for the Buicks but was looking to replace my charger that I use for between round charging and for home use. I was always under the impression you needed a "smart" charger for AGM/GEL batteries, however I found this one on a racing forum and was real impressed. Made in the USA and looks like it is a sturdy /quality piece.

CTEK is the only thing I've ever used, never had one fail, can run them for years if you don't end up driving. Seen a few Battery Tender units, clunky, big, crappy connectors, CTEK is a slim, modern, easy to use, single button, multiple modes, good stuff.

x2 on CTEK. I use to work at a Mercedes/Porsche/bmw dealer and they all used the ctek chargers they claimed to provide clean stable voltage to the batteries to prevent computer damage to the cars. They are a "smart" charger and will work with agm/gel batteries. I use them on my personal cars. Never an issue.

CTEK here as well. Very small but has different charging phases to charge and maintain a battery. It works well with my red top.
