Best place for waste gate boost reference

I have a 6psi spring in my waste gates. I am currently getting the boost signal for the waste gates from the carb hat. I have a boost pressure gage that gets signal from the carb hat and I have another gage that gets signal from the manifold. The gage in the hat hits 6psi very fast. The gage in the manifold hit 2psi fast and then creeps up to 6psi. I was thinking that if I take the boost from the manifold to give signal to the waste gate that it would allow the waste gate to stay shut until it builds 6psi even if that means building 9psi in the hat until the manifold gets to the 6psi then the the gate would open allowing the engine to see 6psi faster. What do you guys think?

For the best response use the compressor cover barb for the waste gate source if it don't have one install one.
