BLM question

Just a note about "128" in the blm and int world, and why 128 is the magic number,

128 in this case is computerspeak for 1. When the pulsewidth calcs are done, if the pw is multiplied by a blm of 128, that is the same as multiplying it by 1. So there is no change.

If your blm is say 133, you take 133/128 and you get 1.04, which means the computer has added 4% to get the mixture right.

BLM of 105 is -18% fuel.
BLM of 128 is no change.
BLM of 150 is +17% fuel.

I've often thought maybe our scantools should do this calculation so we see the actual percent. Maybe it would avoid the confusion.

Regards,
Eric

Neat idea ... and easy enough to do!

Hmmm... we're going to have a VehiclePak released next week for TurboLink, so I'll see if we can't sneak this in!
