boost adjustments

i just got a new chip and razors alchohol inj. this is the first i drove it i have 0 Kr. everything looks good. i had it set a 16lbs with the old 93 chip now im at 22lbs with this chip. i never adjusted the wastegate and im showing more boost. is my boost gauge tied in to the vacume line at the wrong spot or does the wastegate seleniod just raise the boost throught the chip? i might sound stupid but i had to ask....thanks

The chip is set for higher boost (controlling it)

If you have an adjustable WG actuator, you can still manipulate it that way if you choose.

Yes.

On your average stock ECU Turbo Regal the chip does NOT control the boost.

Russ where is your boost gauge hooked up at? Also have you changed anything else like maybe the exhaust or the intercooler?
