You were able to order it with the options you wanted? That is something unheard of today. I tried, in vane, to order a Cruze with a manual transmission. Only get one if it happened to be in stock. I guess you can only get certain options if you are buying a million dollar car these days. No chance I could buy a 2016 Malibu with the 2.0L turbo without upgrading to the 2LT package. Man you could have bought a GN or T-Type with no power options, radio delete, AC delete with the LC2 engine. Gone are those days.
I ordered it with halogen headlamps, digital dash, carpet floor mats, best radio w/ concert sound II, posi, heavy duty battery, white letter tires, theft deterrent w/ starter interrupt and get this, a block heater. After all, I live in Iowa and this is just a cool looking car, so I thought.
I didn't even order tilt wheel.
I went back to the dealer to check on status two weeks later, they gave me the magazine reprints, gun slinger in black, corvette killer and so on.
The theft deterrent w/ starter interrupt system was not available without ordering power door locks, so the dealer added the tilt wheel option and deleted the theft deterrent option to make the price the same. A/C and cruise were standard on the GN, not sure if it could be deleted.
Hard top car w/ no P/W, PDL, no power antenna, no power seat, no lighted visors or mirrors.
