have my FAST XFI harness and all for my BBC..but
until it gets here I threw my old LT1 in the car to work out any bugs
on the suspension and things..

anyway I bought the LT1 ign adapter harness and the car fired right up..
I got my idle and light accel tuning done..
but now as soon as I get to "EXACTLY 2850 RPMS" it sets
a 128 code-"crank sync error"..

all that I've read is that it's a plug and playdeal..
everything is selected correctly in the "operational parameters..
I went back over all connections and grounds ...and all is right..

my concern is what I see on the ign adapter harness and print... where it is only using 3 wires from the opti..
with the cam sync wire grounded at the "CAM?HALL EFFECT" connector end..

what's up with this..?!
I thought maybe it would only work in Bank to Bank..but it's the same thing..
this is maddening!

Thanks Ahead for any info!

The cam sync won't work correctly until you modify the Optispark (call me for details). The improper cam sync may be re-synching the crank signal and causing you to get a crank error.

Cal..
Thanks for the info..
I got in touch with Dave Henninger and he told me this..same as your
info..:

(((""That must be an early box there was a mod for the opti spark we will have to send it in or use a crank trigger . If you are going to run over 6000 then it would need a crank trigger anyway. I then can send you a sticker to make the engine sequential ..the distributor will be the cam sync and the crank trigger will be the rpm input ..
the stiicker goes on the wheel in the opti spark ""
Dave )))

he's got a later box that he's gonna swap me..
so it oughta solve my issues..
Thanks for responding!
Matt
