Cam Advice

I have my engine at the machine shop getting ready to have a gridle installed. I also had them make sure the rest of the block was ok before dumping more bucks into it, the man with mic informed me a couple of the cam lobes were worn.
I plan on stepping it up a notch with some champion irons. My question is what advice could some of ya give on a new cam? Looking for the best of both world, something that does not rock the car back and forth at and idle, but will still put me in the high 10's Low 11's. Also cam durabilty would be in my best interest.
My present worn out cam is a Kenne Bell 1TXB Cam
.449-.449 lift 208-208 degrees of duration.

Also thinking of a higher stall, say around 2800 or 3000. Does this come into
play when considering a new cam?

Thanks for all replies.
