carb'd N/A block to turbo efi conversion

Hey guys,
New to the forum, recently picked up an 85 buick regal 3.8 na car and am in the process of converting it to efi with a turbo.
Ive done several fuel injection conversions before and i am just curious as to what is the best way to run the efi?
I'm using a megasquirt v3. Should i install a crank trigger wheel? should I use the stock Hei distributor and modify the computer to control timing?
Anybody with any advice let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

What do the Squirt guys suggest?
There's at least 1 other TB member using the Squirt deal.
