Catalytic install

The answer is... it depends. If the DP is attached with one of those horrible U-bolt clamps, you've got a fight on your hands. ESP if it was over-tightened. If you don't care about the cat, a cutoff wheel, chisel, hammer, and some swearing will get it off. Just don't cut into the DP, then it would have to come out to get welded.

You really don't have to get the car that far in the air to get the DP and cat to drop out the bottom in one piece. A full size jack and a set of jackstands will do it. If you find yourself tired of laying on your back fighting, it might not be a bad idea to go ahead and take the entire assy down.
