I am working on a new project and want to make some 1/2" diameter sleeve bushings from aluminum tubing. I found the perfect sizes from 2 different suppliers but one sells T6061 and the other sells T6063 with big differences in cost: T6061 being $.38/in and T6063 being $.06/inch. What are the differences between these two in this type of application? The T6063 seems to have a tad softer hardness but I don't know if it will make a difference in what I want to do.
