Only rules are DOT approved tires, valid registration and insurance. There's going to be trophies for quickest stock 6 cylinder and quickest modified 6 cylinder plus a Top Dog winner. I'm stoked to try out my 325 drag radials. Hope to see some locals there.

Officials of The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway have cancelled the "Shakedown Saturday" event scheduled for January 23 as well as the "Streetwar Sunday" event scheduled for January 24.

"Four consecutive days of rain put us behind in some final maintenance work and facility set-up needed to open the track for racing this weekend," said Chris Blair, LVMS Vice President of Racing Operations. "We'll complete those projects in the next few days and will host our opening on Friday, January 29 with the PSCA / Nitro Blast-Off test session and our first Midnight Mayhem event of 2010."

This cancellation does not affect other events scheduled for Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
