Double gasketing the Valve Body?

Has anyone heard of using 2 sets of gaskets on each side of the separator plate before? I guess the theory is to reduce the chances of crossleaks.

Is there any merit to this? any downfalls?

this is an accepted practice .i do it occasionally on other units.
