salvageV6 Daily Driver Joined May 25, 2001 Jan 14, 2019 #3 Ground is probably corroded, ground comes from the mounting threads into the metal. Unbolt it clean it up make sure it's got good metal contact when screwed back in and try it. Other issue can be the plunger sticks in but you should be able to see that when you open the door. Third issue could be a broken wire on the switch well actually it would be off the switch. The white wire is the light switch tan wire if there would be alarm input with factory alarm system. Those wires don't like to be all twisted up so be careful when removing and reinstalling the switch.
