Drop spindles and bearing trouble

Just wondering if anyone has gone with the 2" drop spindles and had trouble with the inner bearing sliding all the way on. Is the diameter larger than stock spindles and require different bearings?

apparently the People's Spindle Factory #43 has a different set of tolerances than People's Bearing Factory #75...

this is what happens when tolerances "stack up".. you get a bearing that is on the low side of the tolerance range and try to put it on a spindle that was made to the high side of the range, and things don't fit together. if it's just a matter of a couple of thousandths, then you can take some 100 or so grit emery cloth, wrap it around the spindle, and keep twisting it around it until the bearing slides on, making sure to clean the spindle and bearing with brake cleaner when you are done and repacking the bearing before final install.. but keep in mind that you might wind up with a bearing that fits loose if you ever need to replace that bearing (and you will need to replace it if you got the $1.99 cheapies at the parts store).

My gut says novaderrik is right, got any micrometers handy ?
Those kids work cheap, but quality control is in direct correlation to price.

Unfortunately they are mounted already ( no one would expect you to check that beforehand by the way )
If they are recently bought and you can measure it, give the seller a call.
