Stock 3.8 liter block crank rods and cam and heads.

any advice on timing chain and oil pump for rebuild? Cloyes double roller timing chain and melling hi volume oil pump rebuild kit?

Thanks for your thoughts

If you build the oil pump right the stock size will be more then enough. I would also do center billet caps if you are rebuilding the motor . And arp studs . Just my opinion. Every block I rebuild I won’t take the job if we don’t do those modifications to the bottom end .

Do this to your oil pump. No booster plate, no thrust plate, no huge gears.. Just take what works and make it more efficient

On the timing set, get a stock set with the plastic covered aluminum top gear and a hi-vo chain. Having a set that won't mess with the knock sensor and the ability to keep the tentioner is a big thing.

Double rollers are a PIA and I only use them when I have to.
