Exhaust Rule Change Thread

I've had 4 people propose changing the exhaust rule. I am not one of the four.

I propose a vote on changing it with 4 options:

1. Leave it as is
2. Exhaust can exit anywhere
3. Exhaust must exit past the firewall
4. Exhaust must exit within 3 inches of axle, 90 degrees and muffled.

Those who raced TSM the last two years are eligible to vote.
Me, Bob, John, Jason, Paul D., Chris, Banana, Jim R., Fred, Richie, Kevin Broadwater, The two from Norwalk this year, and Walt. If I'm missing anyone, let me know.

Change the options to say must be muffled and 90 to the exit location and the one behind doors i would go with if exiting within 3" of rear axle

That's been the rule since day one, it's been brought up before but voted down.

Why does the wastegate have to go back into the downpipe?

Probably a safety issue, if you blow a head gasket etc having an open pipe from the wastegate may end up putting oil/water under your tires....... not good when the pedal is to the floor!

According to the rules, dump pipes are also illegal

X2. This is the only class I know of that has a wastegate rule like this.
