ext wastegate install ???

Ive read some info about external verse a TH style system and the only draw back stated was price. Im starting from scatch on a hybred car and will need a custom DP. What is involved in putting a system together. Is there a special DP or are the pipes custom fit and welded. If so is there any rules to follow,like pipe length and diameter.

jack cotton sells pipes all set up for the external wastegate,also atr,etc.

If you can fit a standard available pipe fitted for external gate that would be the way to go. No custom welding.

Jack Cotton can also build a pipe from straight pieces and mandrel bends and they are custom welded and fitted to the car.

Other shops may do that work also but I've seen Jack and crew do it sucessfully in person.

Pipe length shouldn't matter but diameter would be related to engine flow and horsepower for sure.

One I saw made was a 4" downpipe.

Is each DP specific for each brand gate or is there a common flange? also is the small tube coming out of the bypass already installed on the DP or does it need to be cut and welded on after the valve is installed?
