External pump/fuel sender?

I am getting ready to install my sumped tank and Magnafuel external pump and am wondering what to do with the stock hanger/sender so it reads the correct fuel level? Do I just install the sender without the fuel pump or will it be a problem without having the pump on the hanger? Any help with this would be great.

Really shouldn't make any difference as long as the sender and float still work.

You could probably leave the old pump in there too if you wanted... at least you'd have a backup fuel source if the other took a crap.

I am running a whole new pump and -8 lines so it will not have any lines to pump to. Thanks for the information though. I thought that I would just leave it but wanted to make sure.
