filter & fluid recomendation

its time for a filter and fluid change in my 87 T. the car has 90K on it, i do not know the history of the trans and i'm going to change the filter this weekend. are their any particular brands to buy or ones to steer clear of? i thought i'd just use dextron III, or would it be beneficial to mix in type F?? ok, last question, how much fluid is required when you drop the pan and filter? thanks, aaron

usually four and a half quarts will do but always check the stick hot to be sure.type f always is a better choice .
