FORD guys - help...4.6 idle problem

My wife drives a 92 crown vic with the 4.6 modular engine.
The damn thing sporadically wants to idle low, almost to the point of dying.

I've cleaned the throttle body (helped for a few days), put on a new IAC valve, changed the plugs and wires - It still has the problem.
Cleaning the throttle cody seemed to help the most and all was great for about 3 days - then it started idleing low again

Runs excellent under all other circumstances except when sitting at an idle...

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Scott

Maybe you could open up the throttle plate a little to stabilize the idle airflow beyond the IAC.

I thought about this...on my Regal, I've got the throttle plate opened up so the IAC doesn't function at all at idle (I run a MaxEffort chip).

Any draw backs to not giving the IAC as much control? If not - I'll crank 'er open.

Thanks for the reply - this has been driving me (and my wife) crazy...If it was my Regal, I know all the specs that the sensors should read... On the Crown Vic, I'm lost...
