fuel pump wont prime, HELP!

so earlier today i put my car up on ramps to change a coolant hose, drained all the coolant, changed the hose and then tried starting my car and all it would do was turn over. i rolled it off the ramps and disconnected the battery for 5 min and tried again. NOTHING. i had a 1/4 tank of fuel. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON????:frown:

nevermind, somehow the fuse under the dash popped. dont know how. looked at aonther thread, thank god for forums

Why do you think it is the pump ? Do you have a FP gauge... if not, have you checked the fitting on the fuel rail to see if you have pressure there ?

i do have a fp gauge. i knew the pump wasnt priming cuz i can hear it when i turn the key to the ''on'' position

Check the injector harness near the egr valve, I had the same problem a few years back. The insulation on the #3 injector + wire had melted away, and it would intermittently ground out and pop the fuse. Drove me nuts for over 2 months before I figured it out.
