Fuel Pump?

I have owned my GN for 1 year now. I have bluetop injectors and a TE44. I also have what looks like a hot wire running from my alternator to an in-line fuse and then through the fire wall. My question is........I'm not sure if I have an up graded fuel pump. I have always ssumed with the combo on the car that the fuel pump has been upgraded to a larger unit. Would someone hot wire the stock fuel pump?
I also have a fuel pressure gadge running at 42# and the car runs fine. would there be some tell tale signs of an inadequate fuel pump?

Sure some hot wire the stockers. Don't know for sure what's in my GN but I hot wired it.

Some people would take a Walbro 340 out of the car the day before they were gonna deliver it to ya and put the stocker back in there too.

Only 1 way to tell for sure, next spring for me.
